AET and the National Joint Committee on Learning Disabilities (NJCLD)
The NJCLD is a national committee representing organizations concerned about individuals with learning disabilities. AET was admitted to this prestigious committee in 2004.
At present AET has participated in the formulation of the following reports and brochure,

Among the NJCLD's major purposes are
- Facilitating communication and cooperation among the member organizations;
- Providing an interdisciplinary forum for the review of issues for educational and governmental agencies and acting as a resource committee for those agencies and other interested groups;
- Providing a response to national issues concerning learning disabilities;
- Seeking agreement on major issues pertinent to learning disabilities;
- Preparing and disseminating statements to various publics so as to clarify issues in the area of learning disabilities;
- Identifying research and service delivery needs in learning disabilities.
The NJCLD member organizations are:
