Contextual Impact of Family, School and Culture/Clinical Case Management Schedule
ETI Post-Master’s Certificate in Educational Therapy Course Sequence is composed of two tiers, one for experienced educational therapists wishing to further hone their skills and the one for people new to the field or wishing to enter the field of educational therapy. Both tiers offer a certificate of completion and optional graduate credit.
Tier One
Tier one is designed for AET associate and professional members, as well as individuals with a Master’s degree in Special Education. The three courses taken in sequence are:
Total Optional Graduate Credits - 8
Tier Two
Tier two is designed for anyone who meets criteria for Tier One as well as individuals with graduate coursework equivalent to a Master’s degree in Special Education, regular education, remedial reading, speech/language, or other related field who are seeking a career to educational therapy. Counseling regarding additional coursework and/or supervised hours may be required. The seven courses taken in sequence are:
Total Optional Graduate Credits – 21
The courses are designed to be taken in sequence. Up to six credits of coursework may be waived depending on the applicant’s educational background.
Associate and Professional level members of AET may select individual courses without completing a certificate.
ETI Grade Policy
To be eligible to receive an ETI Certificate of Completion for either the Tier One or Tier Two sequence of courses, a grade of B or better must be earned in all ETI courses for that tier. At the discretion of the committee, a student may be permitted to retake a course for a higher grade. Full tuition must be received before the first day of the specified course.
