Explore the nuts and bolts of the clinical practice AND:
This third course facilitates the process of establishing a professional practice as an educational therapist from client intake through termination and beyond. The role of “Ombudsman” is explored as it relates to assisting clients in meeting their unique goals given their psychosocial needs within family, school, community, and culture.
The distinctive feature of this course is the continual focus on the intra and interpersonal worlds of the client, the client’s family and school environment, and the educational therapist.
Dates: June 27 (4PM - 6PM); June 28 & 29 (8AM - 5PM); August 9 & 10 (8AM - 5PM); plus 5 additional hours of web discussion and a take home final exam.
