I'd like to buy this book now.

The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time by Mark Haddon, a novel about an adolescent boy with autism who discovers his neighbor's dog murdered and sets out to discover who did it, is a wonderful read. The author, who has worked with autistic children for many years, writes the book in first person through the voice of autistic child. The feelings, thoughts, sensitivities, and difficulties of autism come through loud and clear. I got a much better sense and gut level feeling of what it must be like to be autistic. I recommend the book to anyone who wants to understand more about autism.
