Testimonial

Below are a selections of testimonals from parents and students regarding the AET educational therapists and the care that they provided.

I have thought so many times about sending you an update on how M. is doing and to again express our appreciation for the pivotal role you played in helping her (and us) through some very challenging years.

I am prompted to email you about her big news today. She was accepted early decision to [the college of her choice]! She is thrilled. We are thrilled. Not only does it feel like a huge accomplishment to get into a school like this, we also think it will be a very good fit for her. Her dad and I don't know how we would have supported her through those difficult years without you and wanted to share this accomplishment with someone who helped make it possible.

We are so proud of S. and are going to miss his sunny face as he heads off to college. His dad and I cannot thank you enough for all your hard work. S. would not be the man he has become without your involvement in our lives. You opened our eyes and made us deal with issues head on, and we also are better people because of you.

We cannot express how thankful we are that you came into our lives to help J. Thank you for being a part of his journey. He is going to do great things!

I have a special teacher who taught me more than just math. She taught me never give up, try as hard as I can, and most of all she taught me what I didn’t know. She is always there when I need her.

X is making progress! And…she’s allowing me to help her which is amazing. I can see that she’s more organized and hopeful since working with you. Her mindset is slowly shifting from helpless to capable.

~ Parent of high school sophomore ~

I have seen improvement in her reading as well as in her confidence; it appears that what you are doing is working. I spoke with her counselor and she thinks that L. should be able to graduate with honors. You are doing a wonderful job with L.--she is really a different girl. Thank you so much for all you are doing.

He never complains about working with you. I think he has grown in immeasurable ways because of working with you. Please, if you ever need a reference, we have nothing but praise for you. Thank you for all you have done.

~ Mother of elementary student ~

On Tuesday, my teacher told me that from my NWEA testing scores, I am eligible for advanced English next year!. Thank you for all of the hard work you did to help me get here.

[Our ET] is a rare find. She has deep knowledge of math, having taught math for many years and seems to love and know math well. She also has insights into students with unique learning needs, much experience teaching a wide range of students with varying math skill levels, special insights into the work of the math brain, a focus on affect and undoing math inhibitions, and patience and creativity in her instruction.

~ Parent ~

In just a short time, our work with [our ET] has helped set us on a clear path with solutions for our child. We feel like we may have found a missing puzzle piece that completes a picture that we never quite understood. We highly recommend this thoughtful, comprehensive approach to working with children struggling with math or general anxiety.

We appreciate you so much. You’ve added tremendous support in such positive ways to our son and his learning. I am just forever grateful and in awe of your teaching and patience and saintly genius.

~ Parent ~

Our daughter has the confidence to try new things, because she is not being held back or behind because of her learning differences. Our daughter got into a very prestigious local high school we believe because of her time/experiences with you.

~ Parent of 9th grade student ~

We just love our educational therapist! We don't know what we would have done without her. She is just phenomenal! Our daughter would not have been as successful without her guidance, plans, intelligence, caring and influence. 1000 out of 10 stars- super highly recommend.

~ Parent of recent high school graduate ~

She took the time to really get to know him and because of that, she was able to figure out what made him tick and how to use that knowledge to be an effective teacher. Her communication with us as parents was always excellent as well and we were always included in his learning plan. I honestly don't know how we would have gotten through all the school years without her support. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone looking for academic support for their student.

~ Parent of long-time student (who is now in college) ~

[Our ET’s] support is one of the surest investments we make all year. She not only keeps our daughter on track with her schoolwork and building skills, but goes the extra mile to make it fun.

~ Parent of middle school student ~

You are my brain helper!

~ Newly diagnosed 8th grader ~

[Our ET] has great rapport with my son. She is friendly, energetic and trustworthy. My son looks forward to working with her. She can draw the math out of him even when he seems unsure of his ability in a concept. She assesses how each child works best and uses the necessary approach. She makes math interesting by finding out my son's interests and weaves it into the math. After she leaves, my son feels confident that he knows the material. She is a great parent resource too - full of knowledge, tips and guidance.
