The 3rd Friday of the month, the AET VSG is a facilitated professional book discussion group.  Each meeting focuses specific chapters of a book chosen by the group from 9:30 -11:00am (PT)/11:30am CT/12:30-2:00pm (ET)

Beginning in April, our next book will be "Rebuilding Students′ Learning Power: Teaching for Instructional Equity and Cognitive Justice" by Zaretta L. Hammond.   Here is a tentative discussion schedule:  Part 1, chapters 1-3 in April; Part 2, chapters 4-6 in May; finish Part 2 & 3, chapters 7-9 in June.

Since we won't be starting this book until April, if anyone chooses to read the first book by Zaretta Hamond (Culturally Responsive Teaching and The Brain) on their own, there will be time for that to happen.
